Overview:
Southwest Builders completed a full patio cover replacement for a classic ranch-style home in the heart of La Mesa, CA. The existing wooden patio structure had suffered significant rot and water damage. Rather than trying to rehab this old patio cover, they desired a permanent solution, leading the homeowner to seek a long-lasting, low-maintenance patio cover. After showing the homeowner the difference between Wood and our modern Aluminum Patio Cover options, and providing a thorough demonstration of the different material options we offer, they selected a custom fit Non-Insulated aluminum patio cover by our preferred patio cover manufacturer. What a great Choice!

Scope of Work:
Our team handled the complete demolition and removal of the deteriorated wooden patio cover. In its place, we installed a Zero Maintenance Elitewood/Alumawood patio cover in a crisp white finish. The new structure features wood-style aluminum posts securely anchored into the concrete patio for enhanced durability and stability. We also integrated a custom rain gutter system and downspouts to ensure proper drainage.

A key highlight of the project was the custom electrical work: ceiling fans and lighting were seamlessly wired into the home’s existing switch system, enhancing the space’s usability for day and night entertaining. As always, we included a full post-construction clean-up, leaving the space spotless and ready to enjoy.
